Full Flight Gauges Common Features

All the Full Flight Gauges share some common features described here.

Popup the EFIS

Each EFIS (PFD, ND or EICAS) can be poped up as an independent window that can be resized, undocked or detached on a second monitor if you have one.
To popup a display, move the mouse to the central area of the display (the mouse cursor changes to a hand cursor) and left-click.

Brightness

Move the mouse to the central area of the display (the mouse cursor changes to a hand cursor) and roll the mouse wheel.
This increases/decreases the EFIS brightness.

Flight Plan

The Navigation Display handles the flight plan of the Flight Simulator GPS system.
You just have to create or load a flight plan in the FS flight planner and it is displayed on the ND.

TCAS

The Navigation Display is linked to the TCAS to display the aircrafts around your position, within +/-2000 feet above and below your current altitude. The color of the TCAS contacts depend on their distance to your aircraft:
  • Grey: far enough, not a real danger
  • White: close enough to become a danger
  • Amber: very close and dangerous, think about an avoidance maneuver

ND Flight Plan
The flight plan appears on the ND, drawn
in full line when the GPS mode is active.
Note the blue altitude arc, whcih shows the distance at which the target altitude will be reached.
